The Harry Woolhouse Trust:

The Harry Woolhouse Charitable Trust (Registered Charity – 1179881) was established in 2017, in memory of Harry Woolhouse, a member of Sinfonietta who died tragically in 2014. The trust aims to support Imperial College Sinfonietta and its members in furthering activities which capture Harry’s spirit; going beyond the ordinary and always going the extra mile.

Founded on Sinfonietta’s 20th Anniversary, the Trust normally supports these activities through the awarding of grants, maintenance or scholarships or by providing funds to assist with education or the undertaking of travel in furtherance of that education (within music and the arts). The Trust does not support activities that comprise the regular activity of the orchestra or its members, nor will it support any activity for which support or funding is already available from established sources. The intention is to enable new pursuits and endeavours.

A warm and selfless man, and fine violinist – Harry was a much-loved member of the orchestra and a long-standing member of the committee. Harry’s zest for life and passion for adventure was infectious to say the least and it is truly remarkable how many incredible experiences Harry managed to pack into his life, which was so cruelly cut short.

We appreciate any donations to the trust.

Alumni:

Being over 25 years old, we have a rich history and with it, a wealth of players, past and present, who have all individually contributed greatly to the orchestra. We hope that our alumni will always keep in touch through our alumni scheme, run through our alumni mailing list that sends out three emails per year to keep you up to date on the orchestra’s plans. If you are interested in joining our alumni scheme, get in touch here!
